A good skin day makes everything okay: Mawra Hocane  |

Film and television actor Mawra Hocane, self-described “sunshine in human form” on her Instagram handle, took to her IG Stories to radiate positivity in a world overshadowed by bad news.

Among the carousel of images and clips, the Sammi star posted stills from her show Let’s Try Lovewhere she can be seen in a dazzling yellow outfit. In another clip, Mawra proudly displayed a make-up-free shot of her face on a “good skin day”. “When your brain spirals into endless thoughts without permission, but you’re having a good skin day, so it’s ok,” penned the actor, zooming in to show a close-up of her radiant skin.

Staying true to her sunshine-in-human-form roots, Mawra also shared a post on the theme of kindness viewed through the lens of hardship. Borrowing from Nimra Jamil’s page, the actor’s kindness post began, “These words permanently altered my brain chemistry.”

Delving into the psyche of those who seek to make the world a better place, the post went on to elaborate, “The kindest people are not born that way, they are made. They are the souls that have experienced much at the hands of life. They are the ones who have dug themselves out of the dark, who have fought to turn every loss into a lesson.”

In the same vein, the post continued, “The kindest people do not just exist. They choose to soften where circumstances have tried to harden them. They choose to believe in goodness because they have seen firsthand why compassion is so necessary. They have seen firsthand why tenderness is so important in this world.”

The words may not have come directly from Mawra, but the message is an emblem the actor strives to embody, hoping she can inspire those in her reach to do the same.
